Parameter in the Event Preferences dialog box that determines how long
a value remains unchanged in the database before a subsequent OSx read
request causes an explicit read of the value from the control node.
A transaction that moves data from one database to another. Used with
RDT.
Data transfer components may consist of the following files: data transfer
specification files, data transfer programs,anadministration
program, related directories, and intermediate source files. Used with RDT.
A group of one or more data transfers that are triggered by the same event
or condition and that generate a transaction. Used with RDT.
An executable program that consists of one or more data transfer groups
and their schedules. This process/program also contains machine
definitions. Data transfer programs are created when you compile and
install data transfer specification files. SIMATIC PCS 7 OSx automatically
runs these programs to transfer data between databases. Used with RDT.
These files contains the data transfer instructions that you specify to move
data from one database to another. Used with RDT.
Dynamic Data Exchange (also see hot link)isameansofexchangingdata

Database Definition Language. OSx utility program used to modify tables,
and to define new database attributes and domains.
Dynamic Data Object. Graphic objects that display data in a variety of
ways. They can function as Bars, Meters, and Gauges that use the latest
data value received to set the current position of an indicator on a scale.
Trend DDOs provide g raph functions by plotting a range of values. Button,
Menu, and Select List DDOs act as operator interface components.
Database Data Update. OSx utility program used to modify values in the
database.
Range by which the current value of a scanned analog attribute can vary
before the system stores a new value in the database. Tag types that have
deadbands are CALC, AO, AI, LOOP, and TMR.
Requests for data from a control node when OSx is in the Operate state,
on an as-needed basis.
