Tag
A defined memory location in which values can be written to and read from. This can be
done from the PLC or via the HMI device. Depending on whether the tags have a connection
to the PLC or not determines the difference between "external" tags (process tags) and
"internal" tags.
Transfer
The transfer of a run-capable project to the HMI device.
Transfer mode
An HMI device operating mode. Setting the HMI device to transfer mode is a condition for
transferring data from the configuration computer to the HMI device.
