Chapter 2 — Board Layout and Connections
The RS-485 Communication Board is connected to the communications bus through a 5-pin
pluggable bus connector (OPTCB board).
Communication with the control board of the drive takes place through the standard interface
board connector shown in
Figure 2-1
.

This pin (1) can be used to bypass the cable shield to the next slave.
Jumper X4 is the 120
Ω
termination resistor. Set jumper X4 to ON only if the
Cutler-Hammer drive is the last device on the network.
Jumper X1 has no effect on OPTCB board.
